Skin Tortured

Skin Tortured is a new death metal project created by Jorge Lobo. He had been working on the project for some years until he decided it was time for it to see the light of the day. He teamed up with Ioritz Rosa and started to work in what was going to be their first EP, "Massive Genocide". Not having a drummer neither a second guitar, they had to overcome some difficulties, such as programming the drums by themselves and rethinking the songs for a possible second guitar. Nevertheless, they called their ex band mate Jon Ander Esteban who accepted to do the lead guitar work in the EP, giving an extra punch to the songs. The trio entered the studio on 1st August 2020 and recorded the whole three songs plus the outro that are available in the "Massive Genocide" EP. In May 2021, after some months from its creation, Rubén Higuera (Pandemia, ex-Virulency) and Txepas Deathgrind (Exconvict, Urbangrind) joined as permanent members, as drummer and vocalist respectively. A new member would eventually join ST a couple of months later: David (Unstructured, ex-Avgrunn) as guitarist. Skin Tortured's machinery is marching towards brutality!
The main lyrical themes in Skin Tortured are war, suffering, despair, lack of faith in humanity, etc... as a way of critizicing the infamous acts committed by we the humans all throughout history. "War has always been the main reason to evolve. How to kill faster, more efficiently. Some of the most important inventions have happened thanks to war... That is a painful reality we must face in order to not repeat history over and over".
